Experience

I spent over a decade teaching biology to IB and GCSE O and A-level students. I also have three years of experience teaching molecular biology, molecular genetics, cell biology, and virology to undergraduate-level students. I am equipped to teach students in a variety of subjects from elementary to undergraduate levels. My approach to each session is based on the individual student. We can focus on the subject content that gives them the greatest strife in their coursework, whether they need to improve their reading comprehension for the ACCUPLACER or benefit from a review of the History of Science. I can identify gaps in their knowledge and assist in keeping them focused as they improve their understanding of that area. I can find ways to motivate students based on their interests, strengths, and other qualities to help them retain the information more easily. For test prep, we can go over concepts and testing strategies until they feel confident.
