I have an Honors I Bachelor of Arts and a university medal majoring in History and English Literature. I am currently working on a PhD in History.
Experience
I have lectured in history and law at the university level. I have experience in tutoring, marketing, and research. I've proofread dozens of undergrad essays and about half a dozen Ph.D. theses. I am able to adapt sessions to fit the needs of each student. Without having to accommodate other learners, I am able to focus on the particular material that is most relevant to their goals. I can present information in ways that suit their learning style, and I can guide them through concepts and skills at whatever pace is best for them. I am able to use a variety of activities to help students examine the material from different angles and engage thoroughly with what they are learning. I can create a comfortable, supportive learning environment in these sessions.
