Anna W.
Private tutor in Brisbane, Australia
Education
I graduated from Brisbane Girls Grammar School in 2013 and have a bachelor's degree in music technology from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
Experience
Since 2013, I have taught students aged 7 to 17 in physics, math, and music. I enjoy teaching and passing on my knowledge to others in ways they can understand. While at school, I often helped my peers with schoolwork, finding the experience very rewarding. I can provide detailed coverage of music theory or teach you how to play the violin. My background has instilled a passion for math and music, so I can relate these two topics to create engaging lessons that help students see how what they are learning relates to the world and their experiences. I have an extensive background in music; in 2015, I co-recorded a movie soundtrack and have worked with stage crews at music festivals, as a freelance audio engineer, and an AV technician.

Hobbies
In my free time I enjoy listening to music (a wide variety of genres) playing violin (classical and gypsy) and cooking delicious food. I also practise meditation and yoga for fun and a means to stay focused and healthy. As a child of a musician and a mathematician, I particular enjoy investigating and intertwining the worlds of maths and music in various projects and compositions.
