Private tutor in Brisbane, Australia
Education
I have completed a Bachelor of Science in 2013 at the University of Auckland, where I majored in Biomedical Science with a specialization in Endocrinology, Growth, and Metabolism. I earned my Bachelor of Food and Nutrition at La Trobe University in 2020, as well as a Graduate Certificate of Learning and Teaching at Griffith University the same year.
Experience
I scored in the 94th percentile with an overall weighted average score of 70 on the GAMSAT in 2017. I have seven years of tutoring experience. I worked with high school and primary school students in Chemistry, English, middle school-level Mathematics, and Science. I have also mentored students on the GAMSAT for five years, both in groups and 1-on-1. I work as a Casual Research Assistant at QAAFI-CNAFS at the University of Queensland working. As a private instructor, I can provide expert insight and help with Section 2 of the GAMSAT Essay Writing, both the argumentative and reflective aspects. I scored 75 on this section, which was an improvement from the 67 I achieved the first time. To accomplish this, I developed a way of approaching this section with the right mindset and use of my time. I can provide coaching that can be tailored to the needs of students of varying abilities. Whether it be providing practice questions, planning practice essays, structuring essays correctly, and marking them during class, I can do this all with you at your convenience. I can provide useful realistic and no-nonsense exam tips and hints, as well as advice in preparing yourself for actual test conditions months before you sit the exam.

Hobbies
My major interests are in depth analysis of primary historical sources (written in Classical Chinese) and archaeological evidence in Korean and East Asian History research. I am currently doing this so that eventually I can compile all these findings in several books on various political entities such as Gojoseon, Jin, Buyeo, Goguryeo, Baekje, Silla, Gaya, Tamna, Balhae, Later Baekje, Goryeo and Joseon. There are sparse materials on Korean history in the English language and most of those available currently are unfortunately not accurate representations of history from these original sources, but have been manipulated to suit the malicious agenda of a select few particularly in the 1920s and 1930s. This is something that I want to devote my time to correct and set right, along with other fellow acquaintances that are involved in this field. I wish to do this for the preservation and restoration of my own ethnic heritage which I feel strongly for rather than mere financial gain, personal honour and prestige. It is a vocation for me separate from my career path. In terms of cultural pursuits, I play the Violin and Alto Saxophone and am involved with Toastmasters for quite sometime where we regularly meet with members of the community to practice our public communication skills. In the realm of sports, I go to the gym everyday and regularly swim. I also love to cycle when I am given the opportunity. Furthermore, I am also a polyglotte and love to learn different languages. I am trilingual as I can speak English, Korean and French with a degree of fluency. I was privileged to have been a regional finalist and was placed in the top 8 for the Alliance Francaise Oral Concours (French language) competition for my region back at high school. I love the French language and culture having studied it for quite sometime now besides my own. I have learnt Maori before at university and have a rudimentary knowledge of it as well as Latin and Japanese. Currently, I have been trying to pick up Mandarin Chinese (Putonghua) as it is a very versatile language in today's interconnected world.
