Education
I obtained a BSc. in Chemistry (first class honours) from Murdoch University in 2015 with a grade point average of 3.848 out of 4.000. I have a Masters of Education and a Graduate Diploma of Education. I also have a BA in Communication Studies.
Experience
I am currently working at the Ecosciences Precinct in Dutton Park (across the river from UQ) as a Chemist. I am working in an analytical laboratory with a focus on environmental, soil and water chemistry. My main interest in teaching chemistry is because I believe chemistry is fun and way easier to understand than most people think. It's the backbone of many sciences and explains many physical properties of our natural world. I have also been a teacher for 11 years, teaching tertiary students study skills and academic writing skills in Western Australia, such as essay writing, report writing and writing for scientific purposes.
