I have over 5 years of experience teaching undergraduate university students and helping out school students of friends/family with their assignments. My usual tutoring style is to firstly explain and discuss the topic with the student till he/she has a clear understanding of the topic and then reinforce the material learnt by answering some model questions. However, as I develop lessons that are specific to my students I am flexible with my tutoring style because I want my students to achieve the most they can from their time in tutoring. For example I can do only revision for instance if that is what is required. I can help students out with assignments and projects and if you’re a regular student of mine I can become available online to help out. At this stage, I am looking to take on students during the weekends at my home (in North Lakes, Brisbane). I am happy to do group or individual classes. For the first class I charge $20 per student for one hour. This introductory class is so the student can see if he/she likes my teaching style and to discuss what is required etc.. If your happy with my teaching style and want to continue my regular rate is $40 per hour for one student or $80 for a group of up to four students maximum for one hour. Tutoring science (biology and chemistry) for grades 1 to 9.
