Hi, my name is Joanne, I am a native Chinese speaker, able to tutor both Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese. I'm a Foshan Educational College Graduate where I majored in Chinese Literature and Chinese Poetry. My writing has been published in poetry books in China (第二届中国百诗百联大赛). In addition to tutoring Chinese privately, I also teach Chinese to students at a private GPS school in Brisbane. I also have a Certificate III in Community Services Work and a blue card (Working with Children Check). I plan personalised lessons, catered to individual learner’s needs, goals and learning style; and teach all different levels of Chinese to both children and adults - from beginners to advanced learners in University, HSK preparation etc. I can share my extra textbooks and worksheets and provide resources during our lessons to help you achieve at your very best. In the past I have never had a student that I have not seen improvement in while they were being tutored by me, and most had significant improvements in their results. Lessons can be structured according to your goals, I can prepare notes for you in advance, or can simply work through questions you are having trouble with. Regarding rates for one on one tuition, I charge $40/hour or $70 for 2 hour lessons. I offer discounts for upfront purchase of packages of lessons, if you are interested in this please contact me to discuss more. I am flexible with travel, although I have a private commercial tutoring office in Sherwood (3 minutes walk from bus/train station) that many of my students choose to take tuition at.
