Education

I completed a Legal Translation course at the Universidad Metropolitana in Venezuela in 2015. I then earned my Law degree from the same university in 2017, where I also completed an Introduction to Interpreting course. I passed my IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam with a score of 7.5 of 9.0. I then earned my Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management from the Australian Pacific College.

Experience

I have two years of experience mentoring and tutoring kids aged between 7 and 10 years old at the International School Simon Bolivar. I then taught English to students aged 7 to 14 at the Loscher English Institute for one year. I then taught Spanish classes at Sydney University for the Second Language Acquisition Program for Adults for two years. I then spent two years supervising and coordinating all teachers and English lessons for children aged 2 and 6 at an English learning centre for three years. Since then, I have been a Spanish tutor.

Hobbies

I first knew I loved teaching when I mentored the younger kids in my school on the subjects they were having trouble with. Since then I have always been connected with this passion. While I was studying Law, I tough English for kids on the Venezuelan Loscher Institute, then, had the opportunity to come to Australia and teach Spanish as a second language for college students at Sydney University. Afterwards, I came back to Venezuela and was the teacher’s coordinator at the Tic Tac Toe English Learning Centre for children between 2 and 6 years. Moreover, after graduating from law school, I did a legal translation course and participated on the NAATI introduction to interpreting course. In addition, I have been working as a translator (ENG-SPA), interpreter (SPA-ENG). Currently, I am part of the Tutoroo community, teaching people from different backgrounds and ages, not only about my beautiful native language: Spanish, but also about the Latin culture.
