Secondary Geography and Humanities Teacher at Al-Arqam Academy, DOHA QATAR | 2016 • Successfully developed and implemented a new Geography IGCSE program at the school. This included the creation of units of work, development of formative and summative assessment programs and lessons. • As Exam Leader, coordinated and managed a team of staff to successfully deliver International General Certificate of Secondary Education mock examinations to board standards. • Developed and successfully implemented a professional development and learning program for staff based on organisational and individual needs. Senior Modern History, Senior Geography, RE and Junior Humanities Teacher at Moreton Bay College (2013-2016) • Successfully developed effective units of work, lessons and assessment items that are aligned with the National Curriculum and QCAA Senior Syllabus requirements. • Developed and used a diverse range of teaching strategies to deliver personalized learning experiences using my understanding of student’s personalities, interests and classroom dynamics. • In conjunction with the Humanities Department, developed units of work, assessment items and resources for Junior Humanities, Senior Geography and Modern History. • Collaborated closely with individual department members to develop a program of critical thinking activities aligned with the CCE’s to enhance student’s performance in QCS and other examination tasks.
