I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Master of Business Administration (International Business), and a master's degree in financial mathematics. I earned a Tutor Award and Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence from the University of Queensland. Also, I have studied to improve my Matlab, C++, SPSS, and Eviews programming skills.
Experience
I can tutor in 1st grade through 12th grade math as well as algebra and calculus. For 10 years, I have been teaching mathematics in high schools and private tutoring centers. I also worked as a Mathematics Society advisor for an international mathematics competition. Effective at communicating in English, Mandarin, Malay, Cantonese, and Hokkien, I am great at explaining difficult concepts. My teaching style focuses on the criteria that are needed to help students reach for their academic performance and test score goals. I enjoy helping others in tough subjects and can apply different strategies to help people learn and become more confident in what they can do.
