Education
I studied at Il Quantum Information School at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I also studied Physics at the University of Colombia, where I earned my Master of Science. I attended the 13th Workshop on Quantum Information Processing at ETH Zurich in Zurich, Switzerland. I hold a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from Griffith University. I also earned my Ph.D. in Physics from Griffith University. I have participated in a number of projects as part of my undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. theses. I earned the best Undergraduate Thesis Award for my Physics Degree Research Project: Entanglement Dynamics: A Quantum Trajectories Approach. I also received a Ph.D. Research scholarship for my project Quantum State Smoothing.
Experience
I have more than five years of experience lecturing at a university level. I also have more than eight years of experience tutoring and demonstrating Physics concepts at the university. I have done private tutoring in Maths, Physics, and Programming at the university and high school levels for 16 years. I have also been a teacher at pre-university and high school levels for two years. I am available to tutor students in Quantum Physics, Physics, Mathematics, and Statistics at all levels. I can also help students who are learning programming subjects like MATLAB, C++, Wolfram Mathematica, and Python. There are many other subjects I can tutor students in. I am a Lecturer in Physics at Griffith University, certified in Higher Education. I did my Ph.D. in Quantum Estimation at the Centre for Quantum Dynamics at the same university. I specialize in Quantum Dynamics of Open Systems and its applications in information, optics, communication, computation, control, and measurement theories. I have taught, tutored, and supported students for more than 15 years. I tutor online and in person. My list of students includes students from the UK, US, Canada, Colombia, and Australia, among others. I am also an academic life coach and support students with study skills development. Helping others is my passion and tutoring privately has always been an extremely rewarding experience, I love it. I love to see the shine in my students' faces when they feel the self-confidence and trust building up. I am convinced that learning is a process to (re)create our models of nature, is a (re)discovery process and my beliefs about learning extend to my teaching. I believe that my role is to guide you and help you to build your confidence and independence with my knowledge. I will always do my best to make the most effective use of the little time that we have together and to build up the confidence you will need to rock during your classes and your study time alone. During our sessions, we will focus on the concepts behind the calculations.
